- What do I need to do to initiate a discussion of an on-site course for my agency/company/organization?
You should contact Dr. Larry Canter of Environmental Impact Training. This contact can be via e-mail, phone, or fax. The direct e-mail address is info@eiatraining.com; the phone/fax is (830) 596-8804.
- Is it possible to condense the topics in several courses into a one-half day to one-day "executive briefing" for key decision-makers in my agency/company/organization?
Definitely yes! Key personnel may not need to know details, but they do need to be exposed to concepts, terminology, and key legislative requirements. Accordingly, this type of "executive briefing" could be planned to meet your group's needs.
- Is it possible to schedule a 5-day version of a specific course, e.g., Environmental Impact Assessment?
Yes, this can easily be done via the inclusion of additional case studies and class workshop activities. Incidentally, the Environmental Impact Assessment course has previously been presented in both a 5-day and 10-day format.
- I am interested in an on-site course that might be drawn from selected topics in several of the included agendas. Is this possible?
It sure is! You can consider the topics in each course as discrete modules which could be "packaged" into a specific short course to meet your identified training needs. Further, particular modules could be expanded in length to give the emphasis desired by your group.
- I am interested in several courses, do I need to take them in some particular order? Are some courses prerequisite to others?
Each of the courses are planned as individual units, thus you can take them in the order that would best fit your schedule.
- Do you accept purchase orders?
At this time, we currently accept purchase orders for bulk training orders. Feel free to contact us at info@eiatraining.com if you are interested in a bulk training order and would like to use a purchase order.
- What platforms do the Reference CDs run on and are there any special requirements?
The CDs will run on any Windows XP/2000/98 operating system. The only requirement is that you have local administrator privileges to access the CD-Rom. If you do not have these, then contact your local IT support to obtain these.
- I can’t copy a document from a Reference CD onto my computer. Are the CDs copy-protected?
Yes, the CDs are copy-protected so that the documents cannot be copied to a local computer
- I tried to run a Reference CD on my computer using Windows XP/2000/98 and I got a message stating, “You must be a local administrator to run this program.” What should I do?
Environmental Impact Training CDs utilize Hexalock copy protection technology. On large networks, Hexalock CDs require local administrator privileges to run and you will need the assistance of local IT support staff.
HexaLock has developed a software utility that enables the CD to run on large networks without requiring local administrator privileges. This Utility needs to be run only once with local administrator privilege enabled.
Perform the following steps:
1. Download the software utility here.
2. Login to your windows OS using an account with a local administrator privilege.
3. Double click on the software utility file. When the utility is finished, restart the computer.
